Three people are behind bars in Sweetwater County after authorities say they found a pot-growing operation during a raid at a Rock Springs home.

According to a release from the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department, county detectives learned about 44-year-old Amber Evans and 18-year-old Ryan Murphy being involved in drug activity.  Sheriff's detectives and deputies raided Evan's home on Monday evening, allegedly finding six baby marijuana plants, a half-pound of pot (worth about $2400), and other items that are often used by pot dealers.

Evans is facing felony charges including cultivation of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of more than three ounces of marijuana. Possession with intent to deliver marijuana carries a potential penalty of up to 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine under Wyoming law.

Unlawful possession of more than three ounces of marijuana carries a potential penalty of up to  5 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine. Murphy and 19-year-old Brendon Rasmussen were each charged with possession of less than 3 ounces of marijuana.

Under Wyoming law that is a misdemeanor carrying a potential penalty of up to a year in prison, a $1,000 fine or both.
