Blue Sky Summer Festival To Celebrate Local Music, Food, Business
Celebrating 20 years in business, the Blue Sky Group wanted to find a way to celebrate with the Laramie community that helped them along the way. Blue Sky Group is a holding company with a little bit of everything, from restaurants to small businesses in downtown.
Friday, June 15th their celebration will kick off with the Blue Sky Summer Festival, being held downtown in Laramie and starting at 5 pm. The street-dance style festival will close Grand Avenue from 2nd to 3rd street and will feature something for everyone, all ages; music, food, drinks, booths for local businesses and meaningful charities.
Put on by Blue Sky Group, Wyoming’s leading entrepreneurial group, the Blue Sky Summer Festival will feature music by some of Wyoming’s top bands, street performances by talented buskers, a community center where you can learn about important causes, and great food and drinks!
This year’s theme is Debutante Ball – it’s Blue Sky Group’s coming out party! After 20 years of quietly (and sometimes not so quietly) entrepreneuring from our home base in Wyoming, Blue Sky is coming out!
Yep, that's right: we're thanking Laramie and Wyoming for putting up with us during our adolescence by throwing a street dance and festival!
Live music will be performed by local bands like the Full Bas Mati, J Shogren, The Woodpile, Static Nebulus, and Whiskey Slaps. John Pope, the CEO of Blue Sky Group, says that their idea was to invite some of their favorite bands to come and have a great time.
Nick Learned of Static Nebulus says that they have put together a great set for the evening. "This is going to be a great evening of music," Learned says. "It doesn't get much better than playing outdoors during late spring and summer, especially in downtown Laramie."
The event is free to the public and begins at 5 pm.
