Brantley Gilbert Drops ‘Fire-t Up,’ a Rowdy Return to His Roots [Listen]
Brantley Gilbert's "Fire't Up" is a no-nonsense country rocker as rowdy as anything he's brought to his live show previously. The song — his new single — hails from his Fire & Brimstone album.
The guitar-driven party track is also the name of his new tour, the 2020 Fire-t Up Tour dates with Chase Rice, Dylan Scott and Brandon Lay. The new song is the opposite of many of the more sensitive songs he's previewed from his new project and aimed at the longtime fans who've enjoyed getting a bit reckless with him on weekends.
"Fired up, we gonna tear the night up / Got shine in the masons, good times in the making / Baby crank it," Gilbert sings at the chorus. "Fired up, get you a little buzz / Country queens do your thing / Y'all can get this small town lit, fired up."
Fire & Brimstone dropped on Oct. 4 and includes his previous single "What Happens in a Small Town" with Lindsay Ell. More sensitive moments like "Man That Hung the Moon" and "Bad Boy" have previously been released to fans.
Brantley Gilbert Talks About His New Album + Baby!
Talking to Taste of Country this year, Gilbert promised an album that's once again a chapter of his life. This time the songs do lean a little more sentimental, but he promises moments like "Fire't Up" will forever be a part of what he does musically, even now that he is a married father.
Fire & Brimstone is Gilbert's fifth studio album.
