In an effort to thank the community for continued support while raising funds for the coming year, the Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their annual Open House from 12-3 on the afternoon of Saturday, June 16 at the Centennial Fire Station, just north of Centennial on Highway 130.

As usual, there will be a silent auction and raffle to raise money, and there are already over 100 items that have been donated by area businesses and individuals. Some of those items are:

  • A one hour flight in a private plane
  • Four 1-week Bobcat rentals
  • Two Night Stay at J Brehm's Guest Ranch
  • A Shotgun
  • Diamond Earrings
  • 50 Piece Master Mechanic Tool Set

...and with over 100 items donated, that's just the start!

Last year's event was a huge financial success for the CVVFD, and the hopes are high for 2012 to equal those results. Most of the money this year will go to outfit a used water tender for the department, affectionately nicknamed, "The Jolly Green Giant," a military surplus truck that can hold 2,500 gallons of water.

In addition to the silent auction and raffle, there will be a free pig roast with all the trimmings, free rides on the fire truck, and free  prizes for children.

Y95 Country will also be broadcasting live from the event from 11 am until 2 pm.

For a good cause and a great time, visit the CVVFD annual Open House this Saturday!
