Dan + Shay Drop Tender New Single, ‘All to Myself’ [LISTEN]
Dan + Shay will soon have a new single headed to country radio: Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney's "All to Myself," an island-inspired love song, will officially impact on Feb. 11.
Readers can press play above to hear "All to Myself." Against a backdrop of bongos, finger snaps and a guitar line that'll have you dreaming of a moonlit sandy beach, Smyers and Mooney sing about the woman they want "in the worst way."
"I want you all to myself / We don't need anyone else / Let our bodies do the talking / Let our shadows paint the wall," Dan + Shay sing in the chorus of "All to Myself." "I want you here in my arms / We'll hide away in the dark / Slip your hand in my back pocket / Go and let your long hair fall / I want you all, all, all to myself, to myself ..."
"All to Myself" is the third single Dan + Shay have released from their third studio album with Warner Bros. Nashville. It follows the No. 1 songs "Tequila," which dropped in January of 2018, and "Speechless," released in August of that year.
Dan + Shay last released their self-titled third album in June. The two spent 2017 going through some exciting personal moments: Smyers married his fiancee, Abby Law, in May, while Mooney married his fiancee, Hannah Billingsley, in October. Mooney and Billingsley have a son together, named Asher James, who was born in January of 2017.
"That definitely goes into your music," Mooney says. Still, both he and Smyers say they're still able to pull inspiration from past, pre-marriage experiences, and from what their co-writers are going through.
