The cars parked in downtown Laramie this weekend may have a slightly vintage theme. That's because the Gem City Car Classic will have over 100 classic cars, trucks and motorcycles lined up on Saturday from 10-4.

The annual event in the streets of Laramie is always a highlight at the end of the summer. In addition to the original and modified classic vehicles, there will be live music from High Voltage, a beer tent, games, a 50/50 raffle, BBQ, hot dogs and ice cream.

If you want to enter the show, registration will be at the corner of 3rd and Grand from 8:30-10 a.m. The fee is $25 for the first vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle. Motorcycles can be registered for $10 the day of the event as well. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m. Then if you're looking for something to do after the show, check out the Naughty Pines Derby Dames final bout of the season.

The 2012 Gem City Car Classic is sponsored by Laramie GM Auto Center, First National Bank of Wyoming, Laramie Spinal Care Center and Duane Toro Real Estate and hosted by the Downtown Laramie Business Association. For more information, send an email to gemcitycarclassic@hotmail.com.
