Wyomingites Love Having This Side Dish At Thanksgiving Dinner
Thanksgiving is approaching, and the dinner menu is being prepared. Most traditional Thanksgiving Dinners have staples that most families will have on the table.
Turkey
Cranberry sauce
Pumpkin Pie
Dinner Rolls
The next step is to decide which side dishes you'll have to accompany those items. If you ask ten people from different parts of the country what their favorite side dish is, there's a good chance you'll get ten answers.
The legendary soup company Campbell's has released its 'State of the Sides' report for the last three years.
The results show that Turkey isn't the star of the Thanksgiving dinner table; the side items cause the most excitement.
A nationwide survey found that 56% of people prefer eating the side dishes over the bird.
Wyoming is one of the few states where mashed potatoes are the most popular side dish. California, Utah, Iowa, and West Virginia are the other states where potatoes rule the side dish roost. In most other states, stuffing/ dressing is the top side dish.
Other side items that people in the Cowboy State love are:
Sweet Potatoes
Cheesy Potatoes
Broccoli Casserole
Corn Casserole
Experience the smell of your favorite sides without turning on the stove.
Because side dishes are so popular, Campbell's has partnered with Camp to offer a limited edition of the "Scents of the Sides Season" scented candle line. If you're not much of a cook but still love to have the aroma of your favorite Thanksgiving side dishes in the air, these candles are for you.
If you want to step up your mashed tater game, here are a couple of video recipes to watch and shock those attending your Wyoming Thanksgiving.
