Nominate A WyoPreps Athlete of the Week

WyoPreps is presenting our Athlete of the Week honors in the 2026-27 school year. We spotlight deserving student-athletes based on how they fared in a competition week. We will accept nominations at any point during a competition week, which is Monday through Sunday. Please submit your nominations no later than 6 p.m. on Mondays. We are seeking sponsors of our awards. Business inquiries can be sent to david@wyopreps.com.

WyoPreps looks at each sanctioned high school sport throughout the year.

Criteria For Weekly Nominations

1 - Remember, it's for the whole week (Monday-Saturday), so if an athlete competes more than once, one good game/contest/event might not be enough if that same athlete struggles in another game/contest/event.

2 - This is NOT a feel-good, they work hard award. You have to back it up with specifics from a game(s)/event(s)/contest(s).

3 - We're looking for top-notch performances, and what separates that athlete from the rest of the competition in that one specific week.

4 - Include Stats! Check with a stat-keeper after the game or a coach. Don't just guess. Include stats from all games/events/contests from that 1 specific week. Previous week's stats do NOT help an athlete's case. You don't need those. Season averages do not help.

5 - Include a quote from a head coach. If a coach singles out an athlete because of something he or she did, that only helps a case.

6 - Include a photo from a current game/event/contest. Ask around an athlete's school for help with that.

7 - Nominations can come from anyone: a parent, a coach, a fan, student-athletes, etc.

WyoPreps Athlete of the Year Honors

WyoPreps hopes to have an award for our Athletes of the Year in every sanctioned high school sport throughout the school year. WyoPreps would like to issue a total of 25 awards to the deserving student-athletes of our state throughout the school calendar year (Aug. 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027). These award winners could be highlighted at various times over the next year. Good luck!
