The second featured game in our WyoPreps Game of the Week series takes us to Class 1A 6-Man football for a state championship game rematch. Saturday in Baggs, the top-ranked and defending 6-man state champion Burlington Huskies open defense of their title on the road against last year’s runner-up, No. 2 Little Snake River. The two teams participated in separate scrimmages last week to prepare for their showdown on Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies and Rattlers have met in the last two 6-man state title games. LSR won two years ago, but Burlington got a little revenge last year with a 42-39 victory in Laramie.

WyoPreps visited with Little Snake River coach Jack Cobb and Burlington Coach Trent Aagard to preview the match-up. We discussed starting with the title game rematch, how their team is different this year compared to last year, what they expect of each other, some keys to victory, and how they will have a better idea of where they stand after this game.

It is the 9th game in the series between the two schools in football. The Rattlers hold a 6-2 lead in the series. Thanks to wyoming-football.com for the series record.
