The four-person teams that will compete in the Boys and Girls Junior Americas Cup Golf Tournaments have been set after the WSGA Championships were held in Gillette in mid-June. The top 4 finishers from the Gillette Tournament punched their ticket to the Americas Cup.

On the girls' side, Kemmerer's Tazlyn Wagner won that State Championship with rounds 80-89-78 and edged Sheridan's Shelbi Gardner by two strokes. Gardner carded rounds of 87-83 & 79. The 3rd place finisher was Addison Bettinger of Buffalo with rounds of 87-86 and 92, with Evanston's Madison Brown grabbing the last spot as she carded rounds of 92-89-85.

Wagner won the Wyoming  2A State Championship in 2024 as a freshman, Gardner placed 2nd at the State 4A Tournament, with Brown took 6th. Bettinger grabbed 3rd place at the 3A State Tournament.

The top four finishers for the boys in the WSGA Championships were Ryker Lind of Evanston, Carson Moniz from Laramie, Wheatland's Tate Nichols, and Cade Peterson of Campbell County. Lind, who won the 4A State Championship last fall, went 4 under par in Gillette with rounds of 68-72-72. Moniz was 2nd at even par, carding rounds of 71-72-73 he was 4th at the 4A State Tournament. Nichols was 3rd at 3 over after shooting 77-72-70 and he is the defending 3A State Champion. Peterson put together rounds of 72-74-74 and placed 23rd at the 4A State Tournament.

The girls' America's Cup tournament will be at the Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, from July 22-24. The boys' tournament will be played at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon, from just 27-31.
