Wheatland's Tate Nichols had two great rounds of golf at Pinehurst Resort to finish second at a national invitational.

Three individual state champs from Wyoming and one team, Campbell County, play golf at the prestigious PGA High School Golf National Invitational in North Carolina.

Thunder Basin senior Ashley Rogge and Wheatland junior Landri Vaughn shared the girls’ honor. Thermopolis teammates Cole Keller and Stetson Moody were the boys’ winners.

Wheatland sophomore Raelyn Goff and Powell sophomore Braxton Nelson were the winners.

She accomplished the feat in the 3A consolation game on March 14, 2026, at Casper College.
