Cheyenne Drug Dealer Sentenced to 87 Months in Federal Prison
A Cheyenne drug dealer has been sentenced to federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, the United States Attorney's Office announced Monday.
U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin on Tuesday, Nov. 26, sentenced 34-year-old Kenneth Lamar Waters Jr. to 87 months (7.25 years) in prison.

According to court documents, between May 15 and June 20 of 2024, detectives with the Cheyenne Police Department's Community Action Team (CAT) conducted three controlled purchases of fentanyl pills from Waters, totaling 15.06 grams.
Waters was arrested in the 200 block of East 24th Street on June 20, and an additional 22.27 grams of fentanyl were reportedly found inside his home.
Walters was indicted on July 31 and pleaded guilty on Sept. 13.
Waters will be subject to four years of supervised release once he's released from prison.
