The Public's Help Is Sought Finding Joana Perez

UPDATE: The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office on Monday afternoon announced that Joana has been found and is safe.

The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a missing 13-year-old girl.

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

Joanna Perez Was Last Seen On Oct. 31

According to the post, Joana Perez, a Hispanic Female, was last seen on the night of Oct. 31 when she left her parents home in the Western Hills Trailer Court. The post describes her as follows: "Joana is approximately 5’3”, with a slim build and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, red vest, and pants, and may be carrying a black backpack. Joana also has a nose piercing with a small diamond stud."

The post says that she isn't known to be in any danger, but says deputies are working on several leads. .If you have any information about Joana’s whereabouts, please contact Dispatch at (307) 875-1400 and reference case S25-21945.

The First Lady encouraged neighbors to come together “in the Wyoming way — with kindness and care.” She invited attendees to bring a nonperishable food item to share or to take one if they or someone they know could use a little extra this season, saying, “Let’s make this Halloween a celebration of community, generosity, and connection.”
