The city of Laramie announced that they are no longer accepting specific numbered plastics for recycling. These plastics would include those numbered 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, with plastics marked 1 and 2 being the one which can be recycled. These numbers can be found at the bottom of plastic items. The reason for this change is due to the fact that there is no recycling market for these plastics.

Though the only plastics which are accepted for recycling within the city are numbered 1 and 2, plastic #4, specifically plastic film, can be recycled at local grocery stores. This film would include grocery bags, bubble wrap, amazon wraps, etc.
