
Laramie Fire Department Put Out Fire in Vedauwoo Friday
The Laramie Fire Department put out a fire in Vedauwoo near Laramie over the weekend.
According to the Laramie Fire Department, on Friday, June 15, at about 11:54 a.m. The LFD, Vedauwoo VFD, Albany County Central VFD, Albany County Sheriff and US Forest Service Responded to the report of a grass fire in the Vedauwoo area near the Turtle Rock Trail Head.
One engine arrived at about 12:20 p.m., the fire was in an area of about 2 acres in an Aspen grove. Engine 6 and the VFD units began putting out the fire and containment was reached about 2:30 p.m.
USFS took command of the incident and released LFD and VFD units at about 3 p.m.
No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
