National Parks In Wyoming Bring In Big Revenue
Wyoming, Montana, and Utah collectively brought in $3.5 billion in 2018 due to visitors at the National Parks, according to Wyoming Public Media.
People love coming to the Cowboy State to enjoy nature, getting away from the world and to relax. In doing so, they have to spend money on lodging, food, and shopping. The National Park Service came up with a new way to collect data and it has helped tremendously. They were able to find out that visitors are staying longer, spending more money, and staying in more secluded areas.
As of right now, about 80% of the entrance fee visitors pay for the parks goes right back into the parks themselves. It was just determined to use the entrance fees to pay full-time employees at the parks.
Yellowstone had its third best year ever, revenue-wise in 2018.
