Albany County Fire District #1 Cental (ACFD1) will be holding a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new fire station on Saturday, November 14.

The ceremony will be taking place at 4385 Fort Sanders Road in Laramie, Wyoming at 10am.

The ceremony will be consisting of a call to order and remarks from the fire chief and department officers. A pastor will ceremonially bless the station as well. Finally, the ribbon cutting will take place and there will be a radio transmission to Laramie Albany County Records and Communications (LARC), announcing that the new fire station is in service.

This new station was paid for by the State of Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) grant as well as by funds from the Albany County Fire Board.

Please note the COVID-19 precautions will be in place and the event will be taking place outside. This event is open to the public and attendees will get the opportunity to walk through the new station. There will be hot coffee and refreshments provided.
