Rock Band Guster Plays ‘Dumpster Concert’ At University of Wyoming
Guster was driving through Laramie on their way from Salt Lake City to a gig in Colorado, so they pulled the bus up to a dumpster outside of War Memorial Stadium and rocked out for some lucky University of Wyoming students yesterday.
The band posted an Instagram message with a picture of the dumpster and the caption "DUMPSTER SET! Laramie Wyoming. 2:15 MST — giant empty parking lot by War Memorial Stadium. Brown dumpster. See you there Laramie? #firstwyomingshow."
Word quickly spread on campus and a small crowd of students gathered for the impromptu performance. Guster recently released their 8th studio album Look Alive and the Boston-based indie rockers have played several unannounced free shows at random dumpsters across the country.
Nick Poncelo was one of several fans who witnessed Guster's latest dumpster show.
"This was awesome, my favorite of the many times I've seen you guys play," he wrote on the band's Facebook page. "You guys rock!"
