Laramie police arrested a man Wednesday for domestic battery.

According to a statement, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on Jan. 2 at approximately 9:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of North 10th St. and subsequently arrested Thomas D. Massey, 28, of Laramie.

Massey has 2 additional pending charges of domestic battery after he was arrested by Laramie police two weeks earlier on Dec. 20.

Massey has 3 prior convictions for domestic battery in South Carolina, all within ten years of his recent arrests, making the new charges felonies.

Massey’s bond had not been set as of Wednesday evening on the newest charge and he remained incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

Domestic battery is punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years, a fine of not more than $10,000.00, or both, if, within the previous ten years the person has been convicted of domestic battery 2 or more times.
