The Wyoming Department of Transportation will close the Union Pacific Railroad crossing at Howe Road south of Laramie next week, so that crews can repair the crossing.
The construction will replace portions of the concrete on the pathway that have deteriorated over time, as well as adding erosion protection to the area.
In southwestern Wyoming, I-80 is shut down in both directions from Evanston to Lyman, and was scheduled to remain closed until at least 2:30 a.m. Monday.
Both directions of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne has been closed due to winter weather conditions, the Wyoming Department of Transportation says.
WYDOT says crews with the Reiman Corp. are expected to begin working on the bridge around Oct. 23, weather permitting. The work is scheduled to continue through December.
