The Wyoming Department of Transportation will close the Union Pacific Railroad crossing at Howe Road south of Laramie next week, so that crews can repair the crossing.

The crossing will close Monday, April 16. The crossing will be closed through Saturday, April 21, weather permitting.

WYDOT says traffic will not be allowed across the railroad while the work takes place. WYDOT says drivers can go around the closure by using U.S. 287, Skyline Road and Soldier Springs Road. A map of the detour can be viewed here:
