While a few country artists only wear the American flag on special occasions, others will pull out a patriotic jacket, tank top or guitar whenever the mood strikes them. Country music leads all genres in terms of patriotism, so it's not surprising to find many pictures of the biggest artists wearing the American flag over the last ten years.

The Gillette native has already been heralded by Rolling Stone as one of the 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know for the Winter 2015 edition. His YouTube page has some interesting things on it, all of which are not music related. This gem however, was awesome to say the least.

It seems that pop star Demi Lovato is considering going country. The ‘Skyscraper’ singer, who was perhaps best known for her roles in ‘Barney and Friends’ and Disney’s ‘Sonny With a Chance’ before taking on a music career, tweeted that she just wrote her first country song.

Jason Aldean seems to have this “country music” thing in the bag — he is the genre’s best-selling artist of the year, after all. So, what’s next? CMT produced a nice little video with some interviews of big country artists a few days back. It's interesting how every family seems to have quirky Christmas traditions such as eating chili dogs at Luke Bryan's house as this video proclaims.

So, our friends at "The Boot" have come up with a pretty impressive list of the top ten Country Christmas tunes of all time, and I've got to admit, they're pretty im- pressive.  But are they the greatest?

Miranda Lambert thinks the large number of Grammy nominations coming out of the Academy are a sign that the Genre of Country music is really starting to broaden its audience appeal.  Lambert herself has been nominated for 3 Grammys and her album "The House That Built Me" has been nominated for Album of the year in the inspirational category.
