Cole Elementary School was placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a citizen reported seeing a person in the vicinity with a gun.

The LPD said in a post on their official Facebook page that the rumor was false.

Wyoming's State Penitentiary, just outside of Rawlins, was the subject of a 45-minute TV show.

Laramie County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Linda Gesell says a 15-year-old boy was shot to death on Saturday at 1008 Drew Court in Laramie County.
