The first country music awards show to let fans vote for their favorites, the yearly event also features live performances by some of country's biggest artists -- and this year is no exception.

I remember hearing Credence when I was a kid.  The only "stereo" we had back in the day was in my big brother Kelly's room.  He'd crank it up and I got my first taste of Proud Mary and Down on the Bayou.  Well, I'm a rock and roll fan.  But I'm also a country fan, and that's reason enough to be excited about this collaboration.

Wednesday night, Miranda Lambert and her band of backwoods babes, the Pistol Annies, played Los Angeles’ House of Blues with their usual sassy, energetic musical charm. But that wasn’t all they brought to the stage with them this time. For this one, Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty joined the girls onstage, announcing that he had the best seat in the house.

So, this morning I was on the air doing the top 20 country countdown and I got to number 4 on the charts.  That spot is currently held by Miss Miranda Lambert and her song Baggage Claim.  Great tune and definitely worth the high ranking.  But, as so often happens, my mind started to wander and I got to thinking, "I wonder what Pistol Annies are up to?"  Of course, Pistal Annies is Mirand

The 2011 American Country Awards on Fox is quickly becoming another must watch live television broadcast. Top country talents like Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies and Trace Adkins are on the early list of performers. With over a month to go before the Dec. 5 ceremony, more names are sure to be announced.

It’s not clear what it is, but Pistol Annies are up to something. The all-female country trio featuring Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe are just two months removed from releasing their debut album, but already seem to be working on something new.

It will be another 50 days or so before the official street date for Miranda Lambert to release her newest CD, "Four the Record".  However, we're starting to get a little bit more details from Miss Lambert on just what's going on with this one.

I hope the lovely couple are enjoying this time in their lives.  Absolutely incredible things are happening for them and the pleasant news just keeps coming.

It doesn't take a lot of intellectual gymnastics to figure this one out;  three talented and lovely ladies (including one who is tearing up the charts with every single she releases) got together and put out an album that is taking the country by storm.   Pistol Annies "Hell on Heels" is a strong number one.

The "Twitterverse" was alive and well recently.  What with the earthquake back east and all.  But one twitter session was particularly entertaining as Miranda Lambert went on-line so her fans could ask questions

Remember when Miranda Lambert introduced the world to two of her friends during the taping of the ACM Girls Night Out?  She brought up the loveley Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley.  Little did anyone know that these three together were about to show some song-writing and singing chops as a brand new group.
