Buffalo senior Tommy Wonka will further his career in the pool.

Wyoming High School Activities Association Commissioner Trevor Wilson admitted it’s been a pretty quiet fall during the 2024-25 school year in a visit with WyoPreps on Monday.

The University of Wyoming has identified the three members of the swimming and diving team who were killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 287 Thursday.

The timing was just right. Former longtime Laramie High School swim coach Tom Hudson announced his retirement on June 11, 2022.

The girls’ swimming & diving season continues into its seventh week of competition.

The Laramie Lady Plainsmen are competing at the 2014 4A State Swimming and Diving Championships in Gillette.

The Laramie Plainsmen will vie for a third straight state cross country title, while a first place showdown on the pitch will involve the Wyoming Cowgirls.

There’s conference championship action for two Laramie High School teams, plus key games and matches for University of Wyoming squads.

Only two squads were in competition this past weekend from Laramie’s Olympic sports. Both were on the road.

Wyoming Cowgirl Soccer won two big conference games, while swimming and diving started a new season to highlight last weekend’s UW Olympic sports action.

The local sports scene for University of Wyoming and Laramie High School teams over the next week is still fairly busy.
