Thompson Square, Phil Vassar Sign on for Charlie Daniels’ Christmas 4 Kids Event

Thompson Square and Phil Vassar are two of the artists confirmed so far for Charlie Daniels’ 11th Anniversary of the Charlie Daniels Band and Friends Concert. The 2012 Christmas 4 Kids benefit will take place on Monday, Nov. 19 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Christmas 4 Kids has been in existence for over 25 years, providing less fortunate children with their very own shopping spree for the gift-giving holiday year after year. Funds raised through the concert, as well as the special Tour Bus Show and Artist Meet & Greet events, are used to give over 400 children from 29 different schools a full-day shopping excursion. The kids’ day of fun concludes at the Walmart in Hendersonville, Tenn., where they receive a brand new winter coat and $150 to spend in the store on anything they want.

As the 2012 Christmas 4 Kids event gets closer, more acts will be announced. Fanclub pre-sale tickets are available starting Sept. 15, and all other tickets will be available starting Sept. 29 on the Christmas 4 Kids official website. Click here for more information on the event.
