Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield said the number of registered voters, on the eve of the state's general election, is 238,933 which is an increase of 20,877 over those registered for the Primary Election.  The number of registered voters represents 55% of the voting age population.

Maxfield said in a press release on Monday that people not yet registered can do so at the polls.  Polling began taking place at 7 a.m. and will continue until the last person in line at 7:00 p.m. has voted.

Maxfield went on to say that Wyoming employers are required by law to give employees one hour off to vote on Election Day.  However, the law does not apply to employees with three or more consecutive non-working hours during the time that polls are open; and there are exceptions for federal agencies.
