‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Arrives on Netflix on Christmas Day
Netflix’s deal with Disney to stream the studio’s big releases ends in 2020. At the moment, though, all of Disney’s blockbusters continue to appear on Netflix — and Netflix announced this week that the biggest blockbuster of the year, Avengers: Infinity War, is the next title joining the lineup. The film will debut on Netflix on Christmas Day, of all days.
I can see it now. The family is gathered around the fireplace. The stocks are hung with care. Everyone’s double-fisting eggnog. The turkey is carved. What better time to watch Thanos try to wipe out half of the population of the entire universe than Christmas? Literally, there’s no better moment. The whole family can even snap together.
Infinity War will be one of the final Disney films to go to Netflix. Starting next year, Disney will launch their own Netflix competitor, Disney+, which will eventually become the exclusive streaming home for Disney’s content. So your window to watch Infinity War on Netflix is limited. Don’t dawdle. The clock is ticking. You don’t want to keep Thanos waiting. He doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who minds wasting time.
