A winter weather advisory has been posted for southeastern Wyoming starting tonight and going through Thursday.

Three to five inches of snow is expected at lower elevations with up to a foot in the mountains. North winds are expected to gust as high as 35 miles per hour, plunging windchills down to as low as -10, according to the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service.

Blowing snow also cause blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility for travelers on highways in the region
