Clint Burton of Gillette, and his family Bayelee and Cyndi spent about 10 minutes with the President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. The president said stated he was very concerned about their well being and expressed his admiration for their actions.
This photo made it on the official White House website. The Gillette News-Record reports firefighter Bayelee put his brand new emergency response skills to work when the gunfire broke out and was assisting others in the melee that killed 58 and wounded some 489 others. It wasn’t until much later Baylee found out his father, Clint (in bed), was hit by a bullet in the back of his thigh, and was in turn, helped by two others.
Amazingly, 20-year-old Bayelee, pictured right, had taken a CPR class the day before the shooting.
The family arrived back in Gillette on Thursday morning.
