Lauren Alaina – Honored in Georgia

She says her life has been a complete whirlwind in the last 18 months. But the American Idol Runner-up isn't complaining. She's gone from waitress to country star in that time and the honors just keep coming.

Two years ago, Lauren was a waitress at CiCi's Pizza and the most fame she had up to that point was being a highschool cheerleader. Now, the Georgia State Senate and House have honored the Peach State resident.

She took time out from her schedule to stop in and thank both houses of the state legislature. She thanked them for the recognition and was humbled by the honor.

Lauren has just released her first album, Wildflower and is currently opening up for Jason Aldean on his latest tour. The future looks bright for Lauren and we'll be sure to keep her fans up-to-date with her latest doings.
