Cheyenne Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault
A Cheyenne man is behind bars after threatening to kill his neighbor with a knife.
Cheyenne Police spokesman Kevin Malatesta says officers were called to 1114 Converse Avenue around 1:00 a.m. this morning.
29-year-old Amanda Augustine told police that her downstairs neighbor, 59-year-old Michael Boyd, threatened to kill her with a large kitchen knife after she knocked on his door and asked him to turn his music down.
"When he opened the door he had a knife and was yelling that he was going to kill her," said Malatesta. "She backed away, went back up to her apartment and he followed her, but he didn't make contact."
Neither Augustine nor Boyd were injured in the altercation. Boyd was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for aggravated assault.
The case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
