Deer Poached Near Rock Springs
Wyoming Game and Fish Department Rock Springs Game Warden Dave Hays is looking for information about a buck mule deer poached over the weekend south of Rock Springs.
“A headless buck mule deer was discovered on the west side of Aspen Mountain, 25 yards off of Sweetwater County Road 27,” Hays said. “I believe the deer was killed late on October 8th or before daylight on October 9th. Only the head and back straps were taken. The rifle season for deer hunt area 102 does not open until October 15th. Anyone who was in the area and might have seen another vehicle or hunters is urged to please give me a call.”
