How “American” Wyoming is… Based on Eagles, Guns, and Fast Food
If I were to base how "American" Wyoming was I suppose that this is a pretty good start.
Recently a website by the name of Estately listed all the states in America by how "American" they are and this is how they figured it out...
- The amount of bald eagles
- Gold medals from the Olympics
- Astronauts
- Pro baseball players
- Fast food joints per capita
- Gun ownership
- Facebook users that "like" America
- Bin Laden dead Google searches
Turns out, with that criteria, Iowa is the number one most "American"
The rest of the top 10 are: Ohio . . . West Virginia . . . Alabama . . . South Dakota . . . Illinois . . . Oklahoma . . . Arkansas . . . Missouri . . . and Mississippi.
Wyoming came in at #25. 33rd for bald eagles, 27th with gold medals, 50th for astronauts, 21rd for fast food, 41rd for baseball players, 1st for firearms, 1st for American Facebook "likes", 28th for Google Bin Laden searches.
When it came to the state that was "least American", that belonged to Nevada. And while Nevada did have the most fast food per capita, it was also the home to the least amount of astronauts and also had less bald eagles and baseball players than the rest.
The rest of the 10 least American states are: Arizona . . . Hawaii . . . Utah . . . Rhode Island . . . Oregon . . . Connecticut . . . California . . . Washington . . . and Alaska.
