9 Inches Of Snow Possible In Southeast Wyoming Mountains
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says higher elevations in southeast Wyoming could get up to nine inches of snow today [Nov. 24], with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect in some areas.
The agency posted the following on its website: ''A strong cold front will sweep through the area today, bringing light snow showers and colder temperatures to the region. The Snowy and Sierra Madre Mountains will have the highest accumulations, and that is where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 11pm MST tonight. Lower elevations will see light snowfall accumulations up to a dusting in many areas. If encountering an area where moderate snowfall is occurring temporarily, make sure to reduce traveling speeds if planning to be outdoors later today.''
