Possibly Heavy Snow Expected For SE Wyoming, Sub-Zero Wind Chills Ahead
As southeast Wyoming residents get ready to change the calendar to December, Old Man Winter is ready to make an appearance over the next few days.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:
Happy Thanksgiving Wyoming and Nebraska! After a mild day on Friday, a strong cold front is expected to sweep through the area. Pre-frontal rain/snow showers will develop in the afternoon in Carbon and Albany counties, but these will be fairly low impact. The cold front will begin to move into the area after sunset, reaching Sidney around midnight. There will be a brief window for numerous snow showers near the cold front. While significant snow accumulation is not expected, snowfall rates may be heavy at times Friday night. This could produce locally hazardous conditions for travellers into early Saturday morning. A few snow squalls will be possible too, mainly between Cheyenne and Rawlins. The graphic attached shows the probability of 1" or more of snow through Saturday morning across the area.

Once the Snow exits. cold weather including some single-digit lows and sub-zero wind chills will make an appearance:
A strong cold front arriving Friday night will bring much colder temperatures into the area through Monday morning. Highs will be stuck in the 20s both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, strong winds will make it feel much colder on Saturday. Sub-zero wind chill temperatures are expected for much of the area both mornings.
