SE Wyoming Storms Could Bring 60 MPH Winds, Quarter Size Hail

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says some Thursday afternoon storms in southeast Wyoming could be severe, featuring quarter-size hail and winds of up to 6 miles per hour.

The agency posted the following on its website:

Scattered thunderstorms will begin to spread across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle by this afternoon and evening. A Marginal Risk area for severe thunderstorms has been identified for portions of the Nebraska Panhandle and southeast Wyoming for today. It will be warm, with afternoon highs ranging from 81 at Arlington to 101 at Chadron. Stay tuned!

Looks like an active end of the week into the weekend weather wise across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. We're looking at daily chances for afternoon and evening thunderstorms, especially across southeast Wyoming, that could impact outdoor activities. Being the time of the year, any of these storms could become severe. Best severe day looks to be Saturday, when we could see fairly widespread severe storms. Stay tuned!
