The Wyoming Highway Patrol celebrated 4/20 a day early this year; announcing the recent arrest of a California man caught with 342 pounds of pot in the tiny town of Sundance.

The man transporting the marijuana, Cher Yang, could face 20 years in prison if convicted.

Whether or not you think marijuana should be legal, here's a few things that most rational adults can agree on.

1. Traveling with 342 pounds of weed should definitely be against the law. It poses a threat to public safety.

2. The punishment should fit the crime. Marijuana shouldn't come with a longer sentence than manslaughter.

3. A man named Cher Yang doesn't belong in prison. The day that poor guy arrives at the State Pen in Rawlins, his "yang" will be "shared."

4. In their report, the Wyoming Highway Patrol should also indicate when and where the evidence will be destroyed. I know a few people who would love to be upwind for that bonfire.

5. Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation agent Trevor Budd should be in charge of questioning every pot smuggler in the state. Clearly, he's the right man for the job.
