Let’s Raise a Glass to the ‘Most Festive’ Cocktail in Wyoming
This season those sleigh bells are jingling and those cocktail shakers are shaking.
It's the holiday season and you know that means lots of reasons to celebrate. From office holiday parties to family gatherings, there are plenty of reasons to break out the fancy glasses and fish the liquor cabinet key off the top of the kitchen cabinets. Nothing pairs better with jingle bells than the sound of clinking glasses.
All in moderation, of course.
With that being said, you want a cocktail that is a step above your typical go-to drink. I love a good old fashioned, but during this time of year, I gravitate toward more season varieties like a hot toddy or an Irish coffee. Recently, USA Today crafted a list of the Most Festive Winter Cocktails in Every State.
This year, Wyoming's glass is filled with an Old Homestead.
Who doesn't love a hot drink in this Wyoming cold? The Old Homestead is a play on a classic hot cider. It's Chardonnay, honey, and apple cider. It's boiled with rosemary, star anise, cloves, cinnamon sticks and apples. Talk about a rich drink that is loaded with flavor!
