Martin Luther King, Jr. Days of Dialogue Schedule
Events held as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Days of Dialogue will celebrate diversity, increase awareness of diversity issues, and build a sense of community at the University of Wyoming.
This year’s celebration will open with the annual Willena Stanford Community Supper and march on Monday, Feb. 1. The rally and march will begin at 5 p.m. in the Wyoming Union skylight lounge, followed by the community supper at 6 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. UW Vice President for Academic Affairs David Jones will give the opening remarks.
Days of Dialogue events are scheduled throughout the week to give UW community members another opportunity to honor the continuing impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as well as his life and ideals.
Committee co-chairs Ryan Dinneen O’Neil and Macki Snyder say this year’s theme, “Untold Stories, Unheard Voices,” highlights “the importance of dialogue that gives voices to marginalized communities.”
