A 900 square foot meat processing plant will be built on the southern end of Laramie, on Highway 287, after receiving a conditional permit from the Laramie Planning Council. According to Wyoming Public Media, the new processing plant will be able to process approximately 50 cows a week, making it the largest of its kind in the Cowboy State.

307 Meat Company will be the newest addition to the Laramie economy, with the plan to employ 15-20 employees with the operation hoping to be up and running as early as 2020.

Having a USDA meat processing plant in Wyoming will be beneficial to Wyoming ranchers, as well as help boost the local economy with locally sourced Wyoming meat.
