U.S. Senator and former presidential candidate Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) took to social media Monday to endorse Leland Christensen in the republican primary race for Wyoming's U.S. House seat, a move aimed to derail the candidacy of Liz Cheney.

While his video focuses on endorsing Christensen, Paul certainly makes clear his opposition to the idea of Cheney as Wyoming's sole voice in the U.S. House of Representatives.

"I think all of us know we're fighting the establishment sometimes of both parties," says Paul. "Wyoming shouldn't send us a big government republican who says deficits don't matter, who says we should police the world, or who believes in unlimited presidential power."

Wyoming voters will cast ballots in primary races on Tuesday.
