The Albany County Sheriff's Office alerts residents to scammers impersonating deputies in a phone scam using spoofing techniques.

The post says that if typical Wyoming winds had been blowing, the result could have been "catastrophic."

Donnie Smith had last been seen on August 20. He was reported missing on August 24.

Watch out for scammers pretending to be law enforcement officers demanding money over the phone.

UPDATE: The sheriff's office says Smith's vehicle was orginally described as being gold in color. But investigators have since learned that it is actually silver.

The Albany County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a homicide whose body was found wrapped in a tarp at Mirror Lake on the Fourth of July as 56-year-old James Bitner of Black Hawk, Colorado.

A freind describes Nash Quinn as follows "White male, 39, roughly 5'11", slim build, with dark blonde hair, blue eyes, mustache, and glasses.He weighs 165 pounds."
