The City of Laramie made the decision on Monday to cancel the Fire in the Sky fireworks show. They said the dry conditions and significant fire threat in Albany County led to the decision by the planning team, even though they had full confidence in Stonebraker Fireworks Company to safely conduct the show.

The Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department (CVVFD) Open House and annual fundraiser was on Saturday in Centennial. CVVFD Secretary Nancy Taft says they've been able to raise $10,000 during the three-hour event the past few years.
