The City of Laramie made the decision on Monday to cancel the Fire in the Sky fireworks show. They said the dry conditions and significant fire threat in Albany County led to the decision by the planning team, even though they had full confidence in Stonebraker Fireworks Company to safely conduct the show.

While Freedom Has A Birthday will still go forward as planned, it certainly takes away a bit of the fun to not have a fireworks display in Laramie on the Fourth of July. Do you think sacrificing Fire in the Sky was the right decision given the current fire situation in Albany County? Or do you think the show could have gone on safely?
