As the 4th of July approaches this weekend, lots of people are getting their festivities for the holiday weekend in order, such as plenty of food, hanging out with friends and family, and of course, fireworks. It just so happens that when it comes to shooting off fireworks, Wyoming shoots off more than almost another state in the U.S.
Last August, 307 Fest took place in Downtown Casper, but this year it's happening at the Ford Wyoming Center and it will be a 2-day event featuring food, fun and, yes, fireworks. Best of all? This year, it's free!
When Kristina Reynolds and her family, owners of Gillette's Discount Fireworks store, found out that Campbell County officials had banned the sale and usage of fireworks this season, due to the unseasonably high temperatures and potential for wildfires, they could have responded in any number of ways.
