Country music is as American as football / apple pie / insert-any-other-cliche-phrase-here, so it makes sense that, from time to time, the genre's artists would don some patriotic clothing.

Country artists have a reputation for penning lyrics that tell tough stories, but one of the hardest things that some stars have to go through isn't always covered in the biggest hits: band breakups.

Gloriana do young love very well. On their new single ‘Best Night Ever,’ the trio sticks to a theme they’ve leaned upon for every single to date, yet they somehow, avoid the “same story, different bar” syndrome.

Congratulations are in order for Gloriana singer and guitarist Tom Gossin. The musician married his longtime girlfriend, Jamie Moffett, on Saturday, October 19. The couple dated for 10 years prior to tying the knot.

Well, that was the case until Gossin was left to his own devices while trimming his beard and made a few errant moves. He ended up resembling the screen star, who was one of the most successful actors of his day.

If you're going to be watching football this weekend, and you're both an AFC and a country music fan, then we've got good news. Gloriana will getting into the mix. The trio will be singing the national anthem at the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 20.

Gloriana‘s ‘Can’t Shake You’ lyrics and melody fit together like a hand and glove. However, that reality was almost not realized. Hit songwriter James T. Slater had the piano melody in his back pocket for nearly a year, but never found the perfect word marriage until he linked up with Gloriana’s Tom Gossin and fellow songwriter Stephanie Bentley.

Gloriana’s new single ‘Can’t Shake You’ takes time to build, but by the second verse, the trio is able to put real hurt into a mid-tempo song about failed love and regret. The second-to-last chorus finds a Gossin brother (Tom, Mike… who can tell them apart without looking at them?) digging deep for what may be the most vulnerable moment on their new ‘A Thousand Miles Left Behind’ album.

Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2009, country music trio Gloriana has quickly become a break-through artist. And they have an awards shelf at home to prove it, too. The year they dropped their first album, they scored an American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist, and in 2010, won Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Group. But since then, things have been a little quiet for band members Tom Gossin, Mike Gossin and Rachel Reinhardt — but only for a few more weeks.

Like we told you earlier this year, rising country trio Gloriana will perform their latest hit, ‘(Kissed You) Good Night’ on the May 21 episode of the hit reality show, ‘The Bachelorette.’ The band is set to serenade the newest Bachelorette Emily Maynard and her love-driven hopefuls during a unique one-on-one date segment.
