Trisha Yearwood celebrated her new Frank Sinatra cover album Let's Be Frank with a performance of "For the Last Time" on the Today show on Thursday (Feb. 14), and quickly got to reminiscing about the influence the crooner has had on her life.

"I grew up watching movies and listening to these songs with (my mom)," Yearwood told Today host Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly before beginning her performance. "When we decided to do a standards album, we thought, 'Nobody is cooler than Frank,' and he did all those songs so well."

Let's Be Frank is out on Feb. 15.

And while Yearwood’s performance in the Big Apple on Valentine's Day meant that she would not be spending the morning with her hubby, Garth Brooks, the country superstar made sure she knew he was watching.

"Her voice on this song will make ANYONE fall in love," Brooks sweetly tweeted.

He was right, as Kotb emotionally confirmed following the performance.

"I kinda want to weep a little bit," the host remarked as she ran to give Yearwood a hug. The two, along with Daly, said a televised hello to Brooks before signing off to a commercial.

It was just one of the many special moments that lie ahead for Yearwood. The country songstress is set to celebrate her 20th anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member with an appearance on the Opry on March 12.Other artists already scheduled to appear on the show that night include Rodney Atkins, Trace Adkins, Terri Clark, and the Opry’s newest member, Mark Wills.
