University of Wyoming Ranked The 14th Most Underrated College
The University of Wyoming is one of the most underrated colleges in the country, according to a new study. Business Insider's list of the 50 Most Underrated Colleges In America ranked UW in 14th place, tied with Santa Clara University, the University of Missouri, and Washington State University.
Wyoming and West Virginia tied as the most affordable universities in the study. UW also scored high marks for financial aid programs, the overall return on investment for students, and career outcomes for graduates.
Wyoming was the most underrated college in the region, outranking the University of Idaho (18th), Utah (19th), New Mexico (21st), and Nebraska (30th). San Jose State ranked first in the study, followed by the University of Houston, Binghampton University, City College of New York, and George Mason University.
Last year, a similar study ranked Wyoming as the third-best value in the country for students who take out loans to cover the cost of tuition, books, and housing. Student loan debt for Wyoming grads was over $6,000 below the national average in 2018, according to Buckrail.
