Celebrating a National Coach of the Year With an Open House [VIDEO]
It's been a big summer for longtime Laramie High School swim coach Tom Hudson.
In June, he was named the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) National Swim Coach of the Year. Last month Coach Hudson was inducted into the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
When you combine those feats with a brand new, state of the art swimming pool at the new Laramie High School, there’s plenty of reason to celebrate.
Friday, Aug. 19, there will be a bash/reunion to honor Coach Hudson’s accomplishments and a Grand Opening/Open House for the new Laramie High School Aquatics Center from 5:30-to-7:30 p.m. This event has been organized by LHS swimming and diving alumni.
Heber Richardson is a former Laramie High School All-American, assistant coach, father of youth in the program and longtime friend. He’s enjoyed a very personal relationship with Coach Hudson throughout the years. Heber provided some insight about the legendary coach from his unique perspective.
